Welcome.

You may be navigating intense emotions, relationship strain, or patterns you can’t shake. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, choose practical DBT-informed tools, and practice them between sessions—so progress feels steady and measurable.

“Kristen is an incredibly supportive, honest and knowledgable therapist. She has a way of helping me see things from another perspective—her suggestions on how to handle and cope with life’s situations have been right on. I appreciate her down to earth personality, how easy she is to talk to, and her ability to shoot from the hip.”

Common reasons people come to therapy:

  • Grief and loss

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Anger and emotion regulation

  • PTSD and trauma

  • Bipolar symptoms

  • Obsessive compulsive tendencies

  • Substance use

  • Depression

  • Executive functioning challenges (e.g., ADHD)

  • Parenting and family issues

  • Life transitions

  • Gender identity and expression

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Relationship Conflicts

  • Disordered eating

  • Self harm

Your reasons may look different than those listed here, and that’s okay. When difficult emotions, conflict, or stuck patterns start to crowd out your sense of wellbeing, therapy can act as a release valve—creating room for change and a clear path toward a better life.

How we’ll work together:

  • Goal-oriented + flexible: Care will be aligned to your priorities and adapt as you grow.

  • Evidence-based: DBT is the backbone, with CBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, trauma-informed care, and behavior change strategies layered in. Our work together will be tailored specifically to your unique needs.

  • Telehealth only: Sessions are virtual for adults located in Massachusetts at the time of the session. You can open up and make real progress from the comfort of your own home.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • With more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families, I offer therapy that is both compassionate and practical. My approach is highly flexible, tailored to meet you where you are, no matter what you’re facing.

What sets my practice apart is the blend of individualized care with the structured, goal-oriented framework of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I draw from DBT, CBT, holistic psychotherapy, and positive psychology so your sessions are supportive, focused, and effective.

We’ll create clear goals and a treatment plan that can evolve with you. This balance of structure and flexibility helps you track progress over time and supports meaningful, lasting change. You can expect a therapeutic space that is non-judgmental, deeply respectful, and rooted in the belief that you have the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive.

    • I have expertise and experience in working with depression, anxiety, OCD, disordered eating, personality disorders, executive functioning challenges, and relationship difficulties—regardless of the cause (e.g., trauma, identity, diagnosis or life events). I’ll help you identify effective strategies to navigate what you’re dealing with now.

    • I’ll walk you through how therapy works and review my practice policies so you know what to expect. From there, we’ll get to know each other and clarify what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for. Together, we’ll explore how I can support you. I don’t offer free consultations. It typically takes 1–3 sessions to understand our connection and whether the relationship feels like a good fit. Research shows the quality of the therapist–client relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy, so that is where we begin.

    • Sessions are typically 45 minutes. Depending on the level of support you want, we may meet once or twice weekly. Most people start once weekly and adjust as needed.

    • Individual sessions are virtual at this time. I use a secure platform called SimplePractice for video links, paperwork, and payments.

    • No, I’m out of network. SimplePractice provides a superbill you can submit to your insurer. Thrizer and Reimbursify are optional services that support reimbursement submissions (fees may apply).

      • $175 per individual session

      • $200 per couples session

    • Reach out to schedule your first appointment. I’ll send a link to set up your SimplePractice portal and to read and sign my practice documents. Once that’s complete, we’ll schedule your first session and see how working together feels.
